The mediums might be diverse but the theme is consistent as the The Art Gallery Osoyoos hosts a Fall exhibition of Artists on Main member work.
The Joy of Colour opened Saturday at the gallery, showcasing the work of local artists, each of the original works available for purchase in the community.
“As you can see, there are all these different styles that people paint,” said curator Sue Whittaker during a tour yesterday afternoon.
“That’s the joy of it really.”
Included local artists include Carollyne Sinclaire, Peter Scott, Jocelyne Lamontagne, Debbie Sherwin and many others.
As well as serving as curator, Ms. Whittaker also paints and has included several selections of her own in the show.
The gallery is one part of the Osoyoos Art Gallery facility.
Upstairs, Artists on Main members routinely gather in Studio 89 to work and workshop. The studio is open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The facility is also home to the Osoyoos Potters Club, which included some of its work in the exhibition as accents.
The Joy of Colour exhibits through October 7. The Art Gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday each week from noon to 4 p.m.
