And they’re off and stumbling!

It was a rowdy bunch that set out on the 18-km half-corked marathon this morning, Oliver Osoyoos Wine Association’s Canadian Tourism Awards Event of the Year.

Three waves of colourfully dressed runners, walkers — and eventually crawlers — set off on a tour of wineries between the Burrowing Owl Winery on Black Sage Road and Oliver

They’ll imbibe along the way, of course, and enjoy a breezy, beautiful South Okanagan May morning.

You might not be racing, but you can still join in on the fun with Party! At the Finish Line, on today at the Oliver Community Park between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Come cheer on the participants as they cross the finish line. General admission is free, although you can enjoy some wine tastings from local wineries with a $25 ticket available for purchase on site.</p>
