Education minister Mike Bernier is coming to Osoyoos.
The minister is planning a November 29 visit to the South Okanagan that will include a stop at Osoyoos Secondary School.
The minister will also meet with the Okanagan Similkameen School District board.
Expect one product of that visit to be an announcement at OSS that the school will finally get a dust collection unit for its wood shop.
The province has earmarked $271,300 in school enhancement program funding to place the unit in the school.
Osoyoos Secondary was to receive the dust collection unit last year; however, plans were scrapped with the Board’s decision last spring to shutter the school.
