It’s Winter in Wine Country — a celebration so cool us lucky folks in the South Okanagan can’t contain it to just one venue nor just one day. Instead, almost two dozen wineries and distilleries open their doors and provide holiday hospitality and plenty of cheer.
Wander around the South Okanagan — we suggest taking along a designated driver or sign up for a tour — and enjoy tastings, paired chocolate and other foods as you ponder adding some exceptional South Okanagan wines and spirits to your own library or gather gifts for loved ones and friends.
You’ll find activities for the kids, plenty of draws and loads of other fun as well.
If you’re the social type, get your tickets for Saturday evening’s Uncork the Lights at Black Hills Estate Winery.
Celebrating Dry Rosé and seasonal favourites carefully chosen by our local wineries, Uncork the Lights is a great way to kick off the holiday season.
Your $35 ticket includes four tastings, appetizers and live entertainment. Extra tasting tickets are available for $1 each. Food is provided by Oliver Eats.
The possibilities are plenty over this first weekend of the Holiday season. Select your favourite wineries on the map below to see what’s happening this Winter in Wine Country — and don’t forget about the magical Festival of Trees.
