If you didn’t get enough party over the weekend, the fun continues south of the border today.

The United States is celebrating its annual Independence Day with a full day of events at Oroville’s Deep Bay Park that wraps up with fireworks this evening.

If you’re an early-riser, the Be Loud Be Colourful 5K registers at 7 a.m. with the race at 8 a.m.

An open mic talent show kicks off at 3 p.m. and includes a patriotic song contest (U.S.-style) at 6 p.m.

The event’s main attraction — the Fourth of July Fireworks — go at dusk (around 10 p.m.)

The best viewing point is from Deep Bay Park, but the fireworks can be seen from many other locations on Lake Osoyoos.

Boaters are invited to decorate their boats in Christmas lights to light up the lake at night.
