Osoyoos mom makes most
of AG Foods grocery spree

Osoyoos mom Jody Hoffman found someone to watch the kids this morning — then headed off to make the equivalent of $25,200 an hour.

Jody was the local grand-prize winner in AG Foods’ Great Grocery Giveaway and earned herself a 60-second shopping spree at the Osoyoos store this morning.

Jody Hoffman makes her way to the till with Osoyoos AG Foods manager Derek Morgan after a 60-minute spree in the store’s grocery department.

Her minute-long sprint through the store earned her $420.11 in groceries — mostly meats — and some help with the family’s food bill.

“This helps immensely — especially since I’m on maternity right now,” she said after her run. “It was fun. It was exciting.”

The mother of two — with a 10-month-old and three-year-old at home — made the most of her time away from the kids.

“I really didn’t need their extra hands,” she laughed.

Jody is a dental assistant and also moonlights as a fitness instructor at Breathe Studio.

AG Foods is represented in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan, with stores in more than 50 communities.
