Yotes wrap up successful week with win in Sicamous

Osoyoos Coyotes swept a successful week of hockey with a 4-3 win in Sicamous Saturday evening.

Cody Allen, Judd Repole, Sam Reinbolt and Seth Kriese all scored for the Yotes (16-7-1)

The Coyotes jumped to a 3-0 lead through 20 minutes, then survived two goals by the Eagles (4-23-1) in the second.

Kriese’s goal nine minutes into the third period proved to be the game-winner.

The Coyotes put 33 shots on Eagles netminder Zach Wickson. Liam Aitken turned away 14 of 17 shots to record his seventh win of the season.

Earlier this week,the Coyotes scored a pair of home wins against the Kelowna Chiefs, winning 5-3 Nov. 29 and 10-2 on Dec. 1.

Saturday evening’s win, coupled with a 5-3 Summerland loss in Princeton, pulls the Coyotes to within four points of the division-leading Steam with two games in hand.

The Coyotes travel to Quesnel next weekend for a pair of games against the Kamloops Storm.

Meanwhile, Levi Lambert is returning to the Coyotes fold. Lambert, a 6’1″, 180-lbs blueliner played 12 games with the Coyotes last season.

He had one goal and six points in 22 games with the Golden Rockets this season before being traded Dec. 1 for future considerations.
