“I am very honored and thankful for the support shown through the votes,” said Mr. Brouwer this morning. “I am looking forward to working with the community and the other trustees.”

Penny Dupperon finished second with 211 votes. John Redenbach was third with 87 votes.

Mr. Brouwer will join Board Chair Marieze Tarr in representing the Osoyoos and the regional District’s Area “A” on the school board. He will serve the remainder of Ms Harrington’s term, which is scheduled to end in October 2018.

He expects to get busy this week.
