Local RCMP are investigating after a one-vehicle collision at the intersection of Main Street and Cottonwood Drive Tuesday evening resulted in a wooden utility pole being splintered like a twig.
A second utility pole was knocked down.
The collision, which occurred around 7:30 p.m., is believed to involve a white Ford Pickup, which was removed by a tow truck from the parking lot at Dairy Queen about 45 minutes later.
The driver was reported to have pulled into the Dairy Queen’s drive-through lane, where he was later found to be unresponsive.
No information on the driver’s condition is available yet.
Although power in the area was not affected, there were reports of internet service being down with the collision.
