South Okanagan Atom Rebels are looking to sweep Pool C preliminary play this evening as the round-robin portion of the 42nd annual Atom Fiesta hockey tournament wraps up.
The Rebels face Surrey in a 6 p.m. start, a game that could be called a warm-up for the KIJHL Coyotes-Steam tilt at 8:30.
Osoyoos comes into the final game with wins against Princeton (6-5) and Kamloops (7-4). Surrey also has wins against the same teams.
The winner is guaranteed a place in Sunday’s playoffs.
In Pool A, Cranbrook has already punched its ticket to the playoff round with convincing wins over Tri Cities, Williams Lake and Quesnel.
In Pool B, Spokane and Kimberley, both undefeated in round-robin play, are currently on the ice.
The gold medal game is scheduled for 2:30 Sunday afternoon. It follows the bronze-medal game, which is slated for 12:45.
