Rattlers tune up for playoffs with OT win

OSS Rattlers tuned up for a week of sudden-death basketball with an overtime exhibition win tonight.

The Rattlers outlasted the visiting Summerland Rockets 68-65 to even a four-game season-long exhibition series with the AA Rockets. They now get started on the post-season when they host Kelowna’s Aberdeen Hall in a challenge match Tuesday.

Win and they’re off to league playoffs two days later.

“The last couple of weeks we’ve had a bit of a slump and the guys have been beating themselves up,” said head coach Casey Brouwer.

“We planned this game so we’d have some good competition before we went into the playoffs and we needed a big win to motivate the guys.”
