Yotes round up Posse for share of division title

Coyote Steele Anderson pokes in his first goal as a Yote Saturday evening against the visiting Princeton Posse. Osoyoos won 5-0.

The Osoyoos Coyotes earned themselves at least a share of the KIJHL’s Okanagan Division regular season title last night, rounding up the visiting Princeton Posse 5-0.

The Yotes put this one away early, scoring three times in the first period on goals by Carter Shannon, Hunter Johnson and Daniel Stone.

Steele Anderson added a fourth Coyote goal in the second and Evan Loura wrapped up the Osoyoos onslaught with his second goal of the season midway through the final frame.

Reid Wilson scored three assists.

Brett Soles stopped all 22 shots he faced to record his fifth shutout of the seaosn.

Just over 400 fans were in attendance at the Sun Bowl to watch the Coyotes win the Okanagan division, their fifth in the last six years.

The Coyotes play in Kelowna Tuesday evening before returning to host a Friday evening tilt against the Neil Murdoch Division-leading Beaver Valley Nitehawks.
