Freak’n Farmer Adventure Obstacle Race

Covert Farms Family Estate
300 Covert Pl
Oliver, BC V0H 1T0

For over 50 years the Covert Family has been farming 650 acres of Covert Farms in the rugged mountains north of Oliver. Considered by many as the most gruelling of adventure races around the Freak’n Farmers battle the elements in the dry blistering heat of the only Canadian Desert. It was inspired by the arduous tasks in farming history, this adventure obstacle race was born.

Competitors, families and kids race through lush organic fields, vineyards, and wild grasslands amidst the neighboring mountains down to the Okanagan River on the valley floor below.  Throughout the race are course obstacles that re-create the tough jobs that are required on a working farm. If for any reason you choose to skip an obstacle as a competitive participant, you will be given a 5 minute penalty.  There are multiple lengths of races, including 1k, 3k, 5k, 10, and 20k. Bring your own lawnchair for the Half-Polughed After Party. Local food, wine, and beer at the finish line are a key component of the Freak’n Farmer Experience. There will be bands preforming throughout the afternoon. Spectators are welcome, there is a minimum 5 dollar donation to spectate the event. All proceeds go to the Youth Outdoor Recreation Society.
