The Rock Creek Fall Fair is coming up this Saturday and Sunday and it is jam-packed with fun and excitement. The area is broken up into a number of different sections: the Grounds, The Arena, Rides and Midway, Stage entertainment, and Competitions and exhibits. Hours are dependent on weather, and crowd conditions.
On the Grounds there are Shooting Star Amusements from 11 to approximately 9 is a mobile midway with cotton candy, snow cones, and Classic rides for all ages. As well there will be an axe throwing competition with the Axe Monkeys, Okanagan World of Reptiles, a kid zone, Miners Alley,, a Wild West Rodeo, and more.
In the Arena there will be Global FMX with riders preforming motocross tricks from cliffhangers, to back flip combinations. There will also be a Rooster Scramble and Goat Tying and Saturday Night Mower Madness. Equestrian events included are Jackpot Obstacle Challenge, Jackpot Barrel Racing, and Gymkhana.
In the spirit of sharing country magic various competitions and exhibits will happen throughout the weekend. Everything from agriculture, animal, Arts and crafts, cooking and preserves. So get your best food, crafts, and livestock ready to show the world.
Live entertainment includes musicians such as Ben Click, Cod Gone Wile, El Grupo Cubano, Flint & Feather, Black Cat Soul, Les Folles Jambettes, Damian Alblas, The Sock Money Band, and Laura Close. They will be on stage both days of the fair Ben Click will wrap up Saturday at 7, and the Sock Money Band will close Sunday afternoon at 3:30.
