What a local winery is promising to be one of “the messiest events in the South Okanagan,” is also a Rotary Club of Osoyoos fundraiser.
Oliver Twist Estate Winery loves to celebrate harvest the old fashioned way – with a grape stomp! This year, the Black Sage Road winery will be holding a Stomp Party Oct. 5.
Teams of two will compete in a grape stomp competition with added obstacles to elevate the experience.
To add even more zaniness to the experience, competitors are being encouraged to dress up like I Love Lucy characters.
The event promises plenty of fun for the whole family — a Little Foot Stomps competition is offered for kids.
There are limited spots available for stompers, so please register early.
Proceeds from the $30 registration fee for teams of two will be donated to The Rotary Club of Osoyoos.
You can register by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 250-485-0227.
If stomping’s not your style, but you’ve got the looks, Lucille Ball look-a-likes are on call for the “Lucy Look-a-Like” contest.
Great prizes will be awarded to all winners. The party will feature live music by local band Rebel Luv, food trucks, Okanagan Applessence, and Oliver Twist wines for a perfect pairing.
Spectators are welcome, so bring your lawn chairs!
