MITP hits the highway, riding Route 33

Music in the Park invites you to ride Route 33 this Friday evening and travel back in time to the music of The Beatles, Eddie Money, Billy Idol and Bob Seger.

The Castlegar-based band is in town for the 6:30 p.m. engagement.

Route 33 describes itself as a “local Kootenay dance and performance band.

“We play fundraisers, weddings, house parties, birthdays, dance halls, gambling halls, booze halls, etc.”

The foursome is comprised of Jack Hamelin (guitar and vocals), Mark Patrick Rota (keyboards, guitar, vocals), Jim Miller (bass guitar) and Tony Rego (percussion, vocals).

Route 33 has played together since 2014.

As always, Music in the Park encourages you to bring lawn chairs or blankets, a little water and sun screen and a picnic lunch. Dancing is encouraged but optional.
