More live music coming this summer

Osoyoos has settled into a successful Music in the Park series. Now, there’ll be even more opportunity to enjoy live music in the community.

Promoter Alan Bleiken is partnering with The Desert Cultural Centre at Nk’Mip to provide a series of performances.

“We actually have two venues in mind up there,” he said. “One is the indoor theatre; the other an outdoor venue that we will feature a couple acts in this summer.”

The opening show is scheduled for June 1 and will feature Adonis Puentes, who Mr. Alan calls one of “Cuba’s greatest acts.”

“Adonis Puentes will cut the theoretical ribbon,” he said. “Tickets will be available soon, and are limited, so if you need a blast of great Latin music, stay tuned.”

Additional shows will be scheduled, although no other dates are confirmed.

Alan also promotes a very successful season of performances at JoJo’s Cafe and last week introduced a piano to the Wildfire Grill’s Lizard Lounge.
