Every seven minutes in Canada, a life is taken by heart disease or stroke.
That’s why Sher Dastwoor will be on your doorstep this month — if she hasn’t stopped by your house already — to canvass on behalf of the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Sher, with husband Zubin in tow, stopped by the Town of Osoyoos municipal office Friday to talk about heart health with Mayor Sue McKortoff. On behalf of the Town, the Mayor proclaimed February be observed as “Heart Month” in Osoyoos.
“I further urge all citizens to take this month to contemplate their own heart health and to give as generously as they can to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada’s Person-to-Person Campaign,” she proclaimed.
If you’d like to help Sher with this effort as a door-to-door or online canvasser, pelase call her at 250-495-2901.
