Apparently there’s more to the South Okanagan that just the sunshine and wine.
A recent blog entry in ExploreBC — HelloBC’s official travel blog — is encouraging travellers in the province to visit Okanagan for its art.
Two Osoyoos art galleries are among the suggested stops.
“These two locations focus solely on local artists and are ideal places to find a memento of your visit to the south Okanagan,” writes blog author Jeannette Montgomery.
“The Osoyoos Art Gallery (8713 Main Street, Osoyoos) is mostly operated by volunteers and hosts regular shows featuring local artists. A casual saunter down the street will bring you to the Okanagan Art Gallery (8302 Main Street, Osoyoos), where Oliver area artists have relocated their cooperative space.
Also featured in the Okanagan Art Tour are galleries in Penticton, Kelowna and Lake Country.
