Well, that didn’t take long.
Three days after earning at least a share of the KIJHL’s Okanagan Division’s regular seasons title, the Osoyoos Coyotes put together a 6-0 win over the host Kelowna Chiefs to take the title outright.
Braeden Tuck scored two goals to lead the Coyotes, who have now won seven straight, including three by shutout.
The goose egg-posting effort tonight came courtesy of Stephen Heslop, who turned away all 24 shots he faced.
Also scoring for the Yotes were Hunter Johnson, Matthew Adams, Drew Carter and Bobby LaRue.
The Coyotes next play Friday evening when they host the Beaver Valley Nitehawks. The Hawks lead the Kootenay Conference’s Neil Murdoch division with 68 points.
