It was a short winter at the Osoyoos Golf Club.
The 36-hole golfing mecca opened 18 holes on Friday and expects to open 18 more holes by the end of February or early March.
“We opened last Friday,” said General Manager Lee Sapach. “We’ve got 18 holes on the Desert Gold Golf Course fully open with all greens and all tee boxes.”
He expects the Park Meadows 18 will be ready for golf in two to three weeks.
The club is charging an early-season rate of $49 — which includes green fees and cart rental.
The course is open from 10 a.m. to dusk, said Sapach, which means golfers wanting to get in a quick nine will have to be on the tee by 3 p.m.
Across the valley, Sonora Dunes Golf Course is also open, offering tee times between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The par-35 nine-hole course is celebrating its 10th anniversary.
