You won’t have to be a woman to shop here.
Women of Oliver for Women (WOW) will hold its 23rd annual Mainly For Women Trade Show February 20, with vendors offering everything from home care products and yummy treats to insurance and jewelry.
“It’s a trade show that will make you feel like saying WOW,” said event organizer Sally Franks. “The variety of vendors appeal to all ages, men, women and children.”
The Trade Show will be held at the Oliver Community Center from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Admission is free, however a donation will earn you a chance to win door prizes, including
a beautiful quilt. Money collected will go to local families in need.
WOW’s mandate is to “enrich the lives of women and children in our community and beyond.” The group raises funds to do so through the Mainly For Women Trade Show, a Christmas Auction, and two Bridge Tournaments.
The monies raised go to a South Okanagan Secondary School bursary, adult women in need, Sun Fun, Air Cadets, Highway to Healing, Desert Sun Counseling, and other worthwhile causes.
“The women in the group are vibrant, dedicated, community-minded and supportive of each other,” said Ms. Franks.
