Apple will likely release updated iPhone and iPad models in The event is rumored next monthAnd now, newly discovered papers suggest that Macs could join them.
As I spotted it Konsomac (via 9to5Mac), Cupertino tech registered three Macs in the Eurasian regulatory database as model numbers A2615, A2686 and A2681. The products in these files are described as laptops and desktop computers, and if the rumors are accurate, we can consider an updated Mac mini, 27-inch iMac, and MacBook Pro. The database contains two separate entries for three total products.
- Apple personal computers A2615 and A2686 (macOS 12 software version) and their parts.
- Apple Portable A2681 (macOS 12 software version) and its parts.
Apple’s first major event of the year will be held on March 8, according to A Bloomberg report Which also expects a new Mac with Apple-designed chips to arrive around March.
Files for these mysterious Macs were revealed just weeks after the iPhone and iPad models appeared in the same database, indicating the imminent launch of the next generation iPhone SE and iPad Air. As 9to5Mac notes, these types of files typically appear a few months before they’re revealed, so the timing here is that iPhones, iPads, and Macs could debut in the same spring event. We’re not going to dig anything into stone just yet considering some products weren’t disclosed until a year after they were discovered in regulatory documents.
Along with new phones, tablets and laptops, Apple is expected to debut a high-end Mac mini, according to Apple. Several reliable hints. It’s supposed to run on the same M1 Pro and M1 Max chips found in the current MacBook Pro 14 and 16, giving it a significant performance advantage over the current model.

Tim Cook said in the Apple M1 series chipset announcement that the tech giant will complete its transition away from Intel within two years. It’s well on its way toward that goal, with only three products – the iMac Pro, the high-end Mac mini and the Mac Pro – standing far. Last year’s spring event, which took place in mid-April, saw the launch of new colorful iMacs. Bringing a new high-end iMac on stage a year after the iMac update will continue the pace of Apple’s normally expected release. For the Mac Pro, the ARM-powered model will likely arrive later, although we may see an updated version from Intel in the meantime.
Our best guess is that these files are for the high-end new Mac mini desktop with M1 Pro chipset, the 27-inch iMac with M1-series processors, and the updated MacBook Pro 14. However, we may not see all, or even any of the These devices come in March, as the spring event is rumored to focus on the new iPhone SE and iPad Air. Also, it would make sense for Apple to delay revealing a new Mac Pro until WWDC in June, and for those who are wondering: a new MacBook Air with M2 processors is rumored for the second half of this year.
