If you are an Apple user, you may have seen some issues with the App Store or with Apple Music. Monday Apple System status page Issues affecting “all users” of both services observed since 11:41 a.m. ET are listed without going into detail on what the issues are. In our tests, the App Store and Apple Music generally worked, but users noticed problems for several hours before they were resolved.
9to5Mac I previously mentioned that Apple’s privacy stickers weren’t showing up in many App Store listings and cited a source confirming that it’s a bug that will be fixed soon.
Posters on Reddit had problems with Apple Music losing lyrics information, Dolby AtmosAnd Lossless sound From songs it should have these features, while some reported that they are unable to play music even if it is downloaded to their local storage for offline listening. Some users said Signing in and Signing out fixed the missing audio features without losing the lyrics. We were able to confirm the issue using the lyrics as shown below.
Apple’s status page has now been updated, with problems with both services marked as resolved. The timeline for the issue is now marked as 4:15AM – 12:02PM, which may be in line with what users have experienced if it’s set to Pacific Time. From our side, the lyrics features are working and the privacy stickers are back in place, hopefully the downloaded songs will play again.
Update April 25th 5:25PM ET: Updated to indicate that Apple says the power outage has been resolved, and the features are working from our side.
