Brad Pitt is suing his ex-wife, Angelina Jolie, for selling her stake in a French winery buy together – And where they got married – to a Russian businessman.
In a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles on Thursday, Pitt said Jolie breached her agreement not to sell her stake in Chateau Miraval without the consent of the other party by selling her stake to a unit of Stoli Group, the spirits maker controlled by oligarch Yuri Scheffler.

Jolie, 46, was accused of seeking “unexpected profits” from his business, while causing “undue harm”.
Jolie’s lawyers did not immediately respond on Friday to requests for comment.
According to the lawsuit, Jolie told Pitt in January 2021 that she had made a “painful decision, with a heavy heart” to sell her stake in Maraval, and could no longer own an alcohol business due to her personal objections. The complaint said acquisition talks between Pitt and Jolie collapsed five months later.
Tenute del Mondo, a privately owned unit of Stoli, announced its purchase of Jolie’s stake in October.
The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, seeks unspecified and punitive damages for breach of contract and other legal claims.
Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt in 2016, and their divorce became final in 2019. They have six children.
