James Gunn reveals filming for Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 Officially wrapped…before teasing the debut of an ‘unannounced actor’
James Gunn has announced that filming Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 have concluded with a post shared on his Instagram account on Friday night.
In the shot, the 55-year-old is seen spending some quality time with Chris Pratt, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan and his brother Sean, all of whom are set to appear in the upcoming superhero movie.
The director also wrote a short message to express his enthusiasm for the upcoming film and to tease the appearance of an “unreleased” artist.

Gunn began his message by confirming that the shooting was over and expressed his gratitude for the commitment of the project team.
He wrote: ‘This is a wrap-around picture of the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy. I love this amazing cast and crew, their beautiful talent, and their good spirits.
“I am a lucky person to have them with me on the trip for nearly a decade,” the director added.
Gunn then noted that Zoe Saldana, who portrays Gamora in the film series, was also present and was spending time with someone whose involvement in the project is still kept secret.

He wrote, “(And yes Zoe was with us but the only picture I have of an undisclosed actor with us!)
Gunn previously confirmed that he will return to direct and write the third Guardians of the Galaxy feature in 2017.
The previous two films in the series were released in 2014 and 2017.

Gunn apologized for his past actions and accepted the decision, although many of the Guardians of the Galaxy cast have publicly expressed their support for the director.
The writer was later reassigned after Disney executives reconsidered their previous position, and it was announced that he was returning to the project in 2019.
Several actors revealed that they will be returning for the third film in the series during the pre-production process.

Will Poulter was confirmed to play Adam Warlock in October of last year.
Physical production of the feature initially began in November 2021, with filming in Atlanta and London.
The project crew continued to work on the film for several months before filming wrapped on Friday.

The film team also worked on the upcoming Guardians Of The Galaxy Holiday Special during the film’s production process, with filming running from last February to April.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is currently scheduled for release on May 5, 2023, while a holiday special will be released in December.
Gunn had previously expressed that he would not be working on any other superhero films in the future after the release of the third film in the series.
