See, if you’re into strategy RPGs, it’s probably – out of range fire emblem Series – which you love Final Fantasy Tactics. And yes, we also want to see that on the Switch. But if you are a fan of Yasami Matsuno, you have probably heard and played at least one game in ghoul battle String, so we might still have something for you.
With multiple entries on Nintendo systems, starting with Battle of the Ogre: The March of the Black Queen on SNES in 1993, and its follow-up is perhaps the most famous entry in the series – Ghoul Tactics: Let’s cling to each other – After only two years, the series hasn’t seen a new entry since 2001. And we only had a new version of it Let’s stick together On PSP back in 2010 since then.
But there is a glimmer of hope here, perhaps. On March 31, Square Enix (which owns the rights to the Ogre Battle series) trademarked Tactics Ogre: Reborn. This was spotted today by Renka_schedule on Twitter:

We’re trying to keep our cool, we promise.
Of course, this might not mean anything at all, but introducing a brand new name, we think Something Being. SRPG fans adore these Yasami Matsuno titles because of their tactical battles, great visuals, class system, and deep political storylines, so it would be great to see them get a broader release.
Have you played any of the Ogre Battle games? Which ones would you like to reissue? Let us know in the comments.
