Winter in Wine Country continues this weekend, with a number of local wineries offering special promotions.
The events aren’t as numerous as the opening week of WiWC, but it’s still worth an afternoon drive in the South Okanagan countryside.
Here’s what’s happening this Saturday and Sunday, according to Oliver Osoyoos Wine Association:
Bartier Brothers — Saturday the winery is open Noon to 5 p.m. Free appetizers starting at 1:30 p.m. and free tastings, new vintages, gift basket raffle. Wear your Christmas sweater and be entered to win a prize.
Black Hills Estate winery — Saturday and Sunday the winery is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wine tastings, cookies, snacks and mulled wine. Christmas themed gifts. Christmas crafting option for the “little ones” who are visiting with their parents.
Hester Creek — Saturday and Sunday the winery is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Food and wine pairing stations. Special discounts on wine and select merchandise. Gift baskets and holiday decor.
Intersection — Winery open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Offering its “Cross-Section Vertical Tasting” of five vintage Merlots, as well as seasonal wine pairing treats.
Moon Curser — Saturday and Sunday winery is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. All tasting fees donated to Osoyoos Gift Cupboard (also accepting donations of items for Osoyoos Gift Cupboard such as toiletries, scarves, gloves, toques, warm socks). Free gift wrapping with wine purchase. Gold pan gift baskets available. 50% off remaining glassware.
Silver Sage — Saturday and Sunday winery is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Enjoy the spectacular Christmas displays daily, more than 75,000 lights will light up the winery. Custom gift baskets. Mulled wine and complimentary appetizers. Christmas gift ideas and gifts for children.
vinAmité Cellars — Friday to Sunday open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sharing a holiday pairing of Typsy Cheese Fondue and its white blend called Chanson d’Amour (English translation: Love Song). Christmas cookies for one and all. Holiday presents for the little ones. Holiday deals, gift ideas, stocking stuffers and wine.

Winter in Wine Country Tours are being offered Nov. 25 – 27 by Swiws Spirit Tours for $40 per person.
The service includes a scenic winter ride with Swiws Spirit Tours, exploring the Oliver and Osoyoos Wine region and a visit to four or five award-winning wineries. Wineries visited are scheduled on availability.
