Town courting food trucks, wagons for summer season

The food trucks, trailers and wagons will be back this summer.

The Town of Osoyoos is asking street food vendors to apply for temporary licensing to set up shop in downtown Osoyoos, in approved parks and along streets outside of the downtown core.

Up to six applications will be accepted.

Two other stationary vendors are being courted for “primary liquor establishment properties.”

The two downtown spots will be available for a $350 monthly fee. For $150 more, the vendor can take an adjacent parking space — and request more space, if needed.

The Town is inviting interested vendors to submit an expression of interest for one space only no later than 4 pm March 29.

Selected candidates who meet the Town’s rating criteria will be eligible for a Town of Osoyoos Business Licence and possible annual extensions up to five years.
