Osoyoos Coyotes and Revelstoke Grizzlies will have an extra day to rest weary legs before beginning a best-of-seven KIJHL semi-final series.
After grueling divisional finals — the Yotes besting the Kelowna Chiefs in six games and the Grizzlies dropping 100 Mile House in seven — the two clubs will get together Saturday and Sunday in Revelstoke.
Game time for both contests is 7 p.m.
The series shifts to Osoyoos Tuesday and Wednesday, with 7:35 p.m. starts at the Sun Bowl.
Games Five, Six and Seven, if necessary, would go the following Friday, Saturday and Sunday, alternating between Revelstoke and Osoyoos.
The Kootenay Conference final between the Kimberley Dynamiters and Nelson Leafs open’s tonight in Kimberley.
The Coyotes and Grizzlies met three times over the regular season, twice in Osoyoos and once in Revelstoke. The two clubs split the Sun Bowl series, with the Grizzlies winning 5-2 Sept. 30 and the Yotes prevailing 5-4 in overtime in November.
In Revelstoke, as the season was winding down last month, the Yotes dropped a 10-4 decision to the Grizzlies. The loss was the worst suffered by the franchise.
