It was an all-Surrey final Saturday in what could be the final installment of the Osoyoos Secondary School girls Desert Classic soccer tournament.

After the host Osoyoos Rattlers bowed out with a 2-2 record, the Enver Creek Cougars knocked off North Surrey 3-1 to capture the championship.

Osoyoos finished second in pool play Friday, losing to North Surrey 2-1 before rebounding to beat Stanley Humphrey 3-1.

The Rattlers fell 2-0 to Cranbrook Mt. Baker Saturday morning. In its final game Saturday afternoon, Osoyoos shut out JC Crowe 1-0.

The 12-team tourney featured many 2A and 3A schools from the East Kootenays to Lower Mainland. The Rattlers were one of just two 1A schools in the tournament.

The Desert Classic has enjoyed a 17-year run, with many schools making the tournament a highlight of their spring soccer season.

Osoyoos travels to Summerland for an exhibition match Tuesday and will play in a tournament in Merritt this weekend.
