Update — April 1, 10:12 a.m.
Crowley was reunited with his owner. No charges expected.
Penticton RCMP are asking for the public’s help in reuniting a stolen puppy with its owner.
Crowly, a four-month-old Belgian Malinois Sheppard, was stolen after being securely tied up outside the Vineyard Community Church in downtown Penticton just before 8 p.m. March 30.
The owner of the pup told RCMP she had left the dog outside while she went inside to buy some clothes.
The owner added there was no way Crowly could have become loose and took off as she had secured the leash properly and the leash and harness were all missing.
Crowly has a black face, weighs forty pounds, is not neutered and wears a choke collar and a blue harness with the owners name and phone number.
No one in the area saw anything suspicious or anyone take the dog, although the owner did see some youths with skateboards outside before she went into the store.
Anyone with information regarding Crowly is asked to call Cst. Tim Velemirovich of the Penticton RCMP at 250-492-4300 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
