ALERT (Animal Lifeline Emergency Response Team) Volunteers respond in times of disaster and emergencies when domestic animals and livestock are in need of rescue and sheltering. As part of the ALERT team in your area, you would work with all levels of emergency services when deployed in a disaster, but there are numerous Volunteer positions available year-round, and in non-disaster times, which aid in providing public education about emergency preparedness. This introductory course is required training for all ALERT Volunteers, and explains and works through the administrative part of emergency animal rescue procedure and protocol when a disaster strikes or when emergencies happen. The course fee of $40 will provide you with your course materials, and will also cover your first year membership with ALERT.

Previously Trained Volunteers are welcome to attend at no charge, but you must register and ensure your annual dues are up to date. For those with previous training bring your own course materials (updates can be provided upon request).
Bring your own lunch, water bottle, and any snacks you may require. Dress comfortably.

To Register mail your completed form and payment to ALERT Canada c/o 3099 Coleman Street Penticton, BC V2A 7C4
