What do you need to go to Canada when the borders open?

A few weeks ago, the Government of Canada announced that for the first time since the outbreak of the Govt-19 epidemic, the North American country will open its borders to foreign tourism. Passengers will be required to be completely vaccinated with a valid vaccine.

The provisional date for a non-essential trip to resume to Mexico is September 7th. It all depends on the vaccination rate and the number of positive infections remaining.

If you plan to travel to Canada in the future, we expect you to meet many more requirements, regardless of your vaccination status. We will explain them to you in detail below.

But first you need to make sure you are a valid candidate for the holidays, depending on the vaccine you have. Accepted by: Pfizer-Bioentech, Moderna, AstroGeneca and Johnson & Johnson. If 14 days have passed since you last received the required dose, you will be considered fully vaccinated.

1. Valid travel documents

To get started, make sure your passport is valid for at least six months from the date you plan to travel (not less than one day, which is a must).

To go to Canada, Mexican people do not need a visa, but a document called Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). It is a permit processed online and costs $ 7.

The ETA is valid for five years or until your passport expires (if this happens within five years). If you currently have a valid eTA, you should have no problem with this document.

If you had an ETA before the infection or you have already expired, it can be very difficult to get one during a health accident.

Under normal conditions, the process usually takes up to an hour and involves filling out a simple online form. However, the process has been temporarily changed.

A) You have to fill the regular form. The difference is that it is not immediately recognized, but there is an additional step.

b) In another online form, you should contact the authorities to verify that you are the right candidate to travel. They will respond to you within 14 business days. For more than a year, only those with essential reasons were able to travel to Canada, and the form continued to be linked to these entry restrictions; This may change in the short term, but no change has been announced.

2. Negative test for Covit-19

This is one of the requirements whether you have been vaccinated or have recovered from Covit-19.

Pre-flight test results are provided to your airline and should be kept with you as they will ask for it at the immigration area upon your arrival.

Antigen testing is not allowed. These are some valid tests:
-PCR
-RT-PCR
– qPCR

The test must come from an approved laboratory. There are already airlines that will save the search and allow you to book your pick directly depending on the country you are going to, and sometimes have discounts for their passengers.

Tested 72 hours before you leave for Canada.

These are the mandatory data on your exam certificate:
-Full name and date of birth.
-Name and address of the laboratory or clinic.
Sample Date.
-Test and test type.

Keep your results for the next 14 days after you arrive in Canada.

2. Isolation program

In theory, vaccinated passengers would be exempt from isolation upon arrival. However, the immigration agent who receives you has the final say and can determine if you comply with imprisonment. This is why you should be prepared with a 14 day isolation plan.

These are the questions you will be asked to see if your project is feasible (and):
Do you have the space to spend the first 14 days of the trip (or more, if you have symptoms?
Is it possible to get food and other basic necessities (water, medicine or warmth) without going out?
What kind of place is it? (This could be a hotel).
Do you plan to share that space with others?

3. Vaccine proof

72 hours prior to flight, along with your isolation plan and travel information, you must upload it to the Arevicon platform.

As for vaccine proof, you should follow the following.
Give details about the first and second dose.
Source Photo or PDF (PDF preferred).
Evidence must be in English or French or be a certified translation.

The Immigration Commission will ask you for a receipt in physical or digital form.

4. Gather your documents

This is a must have, for any Affiliate, promoting any program.
Proof that the AraiWagon operating system will provide you.
-Vacial testing.
-Covit-19 test.
-Travel documents.

5. Check upon arrival

When you arrive in Canada, you will be tested for Covit-19 before leaving the airport, but this time you will not be charged. You do not need to wait for your results or be isolated when they are available.

Where you go to take the exam depends on the airport you are coming from. In some cases, you will be allowed to register in advance to go faster (use the same email you left on the visit CAN:

What about minors?

Even with passengers who have been fully vaccinated with them, those under the age of 18 must meet additional requirements: compulsory isolation and Covit-19 proof on their eighth voyage.

Children under the age of five are not tested and they only comply with isolation.
