Beginning in January, Canada will close its doors to unvaccinated athletes

Canadian Minister of Public Health Marco Mendicino Announced From January 15, 2022, no athlete will be able to enter Canada without being vaccinated against COVID-19. Law in the North American country prohibits the entry of any citizen who has not received at least one dose of vaccine approved by the state concerned. So far, athletes have been the exception to this rule, but they will soon be discontinued.

This innovation particularly affects the two leagues. The NHL and its commissioner Gary Bedman have confirmed that only four players in the entire league have not been vaccinated. And the NBA, in its latest statements Recorded 95% of players are vaccinated. In this regard, the limit relating to the measurement of league interference in the salaries of unvaccinated players will not be charged for matches that fail for this reason.

The Canadian government’s decision is not related to the recent small explosions in the NBA. In fact, most of them have affected vaccinated soldiers. But the effects of Covit-19 have been linked to concerns that competition could continue to be affected. We hope that these new measures will not lead to many unexpected casualties.
