Dan Weiss said that it was a long journey to bring Severance to television and that he has always envisioned it being a multi-season story. Now, the show will continue with the cast and crew intact.

Season 2 of Severance will have inevitable cliffhangers and more. Helena must deal with the fallout from previous cliffhangers both plot-wise and personally.

She declared to be a liar in front of the general assembly, including her father. She wanted Mark to be put in this embarrassing position as the presenter, who is also called the innie Mark. Silller stated that they are starting to root for him and his daughter, but now they want to root for Outtie to find his wife.
