Jose Manuel Albarez, Minister of Foreign Affairs, EU and Spanish Cooperation, met with Ukrainian counterparts Dimitro Kuleba, Czech, John Lipovsk and Canadian, Melanie Jolie on the sidelines of the informal meeting. NATO foreign ministers over the weekend.
During his meeting with Guleba, the Spanish diplomat spoke of Spain’s support and solidarity with refugees and reaffirmed his commitment to a “free, sovereign and free” Ukraine.
During his meeting with Lipavsk, Albares discussed bilateral issues, as well as the situation in Ukraine and details of the next NATO summit in Madrid on June 29 and 30.
About the meeting with Minister Jolie Alberza described the meeting as “useful” after the EU-Canada Free Trade Agreement came into force, dealing with bilateral issues, especially economic issues, as well as the crisis or strategic autonomy in Ukraine. NATO
The meetings took place inside the framework of Albarez’s residence in Berlin during NATO’s informal meeting, in which NATO ministers prepare for the Madrid summit and discuss the inclusion of Finland and Sweden in the Atlantic Alliance.
